This is especially true now that most of us are running Windows Vista/XP and operating in compatibility mode. IMPORTANT: Any content not endorsed by the developers of Petz could potentially harm your game. Some sites have recommended sites lists, and I followed many of those, too. On to the links! Some of these I found with good old Google (terms like “Petz 5 breedz, Petz 5 hexes, Petz site, Petz 5 adoptions”), and some I followed links from the above forums. I can’t vouch for their temperament or activity as I’m not actually a member. (I’m considering using my own website to host adoptions when I get back in the kick of Petz.) I’ve run across the RKC Petz Forum and The Petz Community Gathering forums before, and I’ll link them for anyone interested. Some of these services let the websites remain up indefinitely, so there are sites with direct downloadz of litterz, breedz, and more.Īctually, some websitez are still actively maintained. Kids, teens, and adults with little web development experience learned basic site-making skills with the help of tools like Yahoo Geocities, Freewebs, and more. I remember reading a statement from the developers that they loved and encouraged fans to create their own Petz content, but they wouldn’t be responsible for any game-breaking content you install. They made a whole Web Fun Pack with resources for a website and put it on the Petz 5 disc.
To put this in historical context for any in need, in the heyday of Petz, hundreds of fansites went online thanks partially to the developer’s highly encouraging such behavior.
